10. Bathing My Son (Easy)

Sōta is a two-year-old boy. His father goes into the bath together with him.
Father: Sōta, time to take a bath.
Sōta: No.
Father: Not “no”. You didn’t take a bath yesterday, so you’re taking one today.
Sōta: Ehh...
Father: Not “ehh”. Okay, then take off your clothes.
Sōta: Mmm... (He tries to take them off but is struggling.)
Father: You can do it by yourself, right? ...Oh, you’re doing it well. You can take off your pants by yourself too, right?
Sōta: Yeah. (He takes off his pants by himself.)
Father: Good. Now put the clothes you took off into the washing machine.
Sōta: Okaaay. (He puts the clothes into the washing machine.)
Father: Alright, let’s get in. It’s slippery, so be careful. ...First, I’ll rinse your body. (He rinses him with the shower.) It’s not too hot, right? You okay?
Sōta: Yeah, I’m okay.
Father: Okay, I’m pouring water over your head. One, two three... (He pours warm water over his head.) ...Alright, let’s shampoo.
(They finish washing up.)
Father: Okay, all clean now. Let’s get into the bath. ...Is it a little hot?
Sōta: Yeah.
Father: Then I’ll add some water to cool it down a bit. (He runs water from the faucet to make the bath cooler.)
Father: Scoop some water with the bucket and do the splash.
Sōta: Splash.
Father: ...Alright, it’s cooler now, so it’s okay. Let’s get in.
(The two of them get into the bath.)
Father: Ahh, feels good, doesn’t it?
Sōta: Yeah.
...
Father: Okay, we’re getting out soon, so at last, soak up to your shoulders and count from one to ten.
Sōta: One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine, ten!
Father: Alright, let’s get out! ...Here, a towel. Dry your body with this. You can dry yourself, right? ...Did you dry off cleanly?
Sōta: Yeah.
Father: Okay, let’s put on your diaper. Can you put it on by yourself?
Sōta: Help me.
Father: Sure, okay. ...Next is pajamas. Change into your pajamas.
Sōta: ...Dad, I did it.
Father: Oh, that’s amazing! You did it all by yourself!
Sōta: Am I good? Then, I want ice cream.
Father: No ice cream. Well, not “no”, I mean, we don’t have any.
Sōta: That’s disappointing...
